May is the perfect month for wild foraged mushrooms and truffles. Pine mushrooms, slippery jacks, Pied Bleus and local truffles are at their prime and their short season should be celebrated while we can.
The boys from Roxborough have been foraging to bring the best of the new season to you!
Grilled mascarpone polenta with wild foraged Mt Gambier pine mushrooms,
taleggio, sage and Tuscan black kale
Slippery jack, portabello and porcini mushroom lasagne
made with Roxborough’s own hand rolled semolina pasta
Dark chocolate truffle with truffled honey, chocolate crumble and caramel ice cream
3 course meal with proceeds going to St Kilda Mission – $65 per person.
